Yes, I'm fully aware that my last post was in April and we're almost halfway through May!! Life happens!! I plan to use Blurb to print all my blog posts (complete with pics) so I know I need to actually keep up with what's going on in our lives, but sometimes life's just too busy!! The last thing I want to do when I finally have a minute of downtime is sit here with the computer in my lap!! And I feel like a post is naked without pictures so sometimes I put off posting until I DO have pics, but then I don't wanna sit here and edit pictures for hours just to be able to blog them!! Agh!! It's a vicious cycle!!

Anyways! The past few weeks have been busy with softball!! Well, when we actually get to play! It seems like as soon as Tuesday or Thursday rolls around it's time for rain!! Usually the season is over the week of our anniversary, but that came and went last Friday and we're only 5 games into our 10 game season!! So far we're 4-1 with our only loss coming against Augusta Sportswear so we're tied for 1st with two other 1-loss teams (Augusta Sportswear and Fusion). Tomorrow night should be interesting...The Family Feud - Journey Royal vs Journey Navy!!

Friday was our 5th anniversary and what a great day/evening it was!! I had two dozen red roses waiting for me when I arrived at work from my awesome hubby and I took the afternoon off to lay by the pool! When I got home I set up a scavenger hunt around the house for Matt to find Jim Brickman tickets...(I've had the tickets since January and it's been terribly hard to keep them a secret! The concert is this coming Friday night in Newberry and we're both very very excited!!) For dinner, Matt made reservations for us at The Chop House (yummy!) and then we returned home to a romantic surprise I had arranged for us!

Saturday we took a day trip to Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia with the Stickels, my parents and Natalie. Oh my gosh it was so so hot!! But we still had a great time! Natalie kept telling us she wanted to see the cocodrilos, but it wasn't until Andy heard her say it during lunch that we learned "cocodrilos" is Spanish for "crocodiles"!!

Lorikeets! My favorite!

Hey!! What's Big Gibbs doing at the zoo??

These monkeys are SO crazy!! They just swing around and howl at each other!

Jackson, you're supposed to just give him food...Not your whole hand!!

I think Jackson's favorite part of the day was eating! (Oh wait! That's his favorite part of EVERY day!)

And Natalie was NOT afraid of the gorillas this time!

Cute pictures!! Glad you had a nice anniversary! I have heard good things about the Chop house but have never been...maybe one of these days! Good game tonight! Both teams did really good! I didn't know who to root for so I rooted for both! :o)
